Hoops for Hope — Thank You for Making It Happen
A community-wide free throw fundraiser held Oct 28–30, 2025,
supporting families affected by PPP3CA
Hoops for Hope brought together all Legacy Hoopers
teams for a meaningful cause — supporting a family member of one of
our players and raising awareness for PPP3CA-related disorders.
Over three nights of practices, players across grades 4–6 shot
hundreds of free throws, families cheered, and sponsors pledged
support.
The event was a powerful reminder that
Legacy Hoopers is more than basketball. When one of
our families needs help, the entire program steps up.
What is PPP3CA?
PPP3CA is a gene that helps brain cells communicate through the enzyme calcineurin. Mutations can lead to early-onset seizures and developmental challenges. Funds raised help the PPP3CA Hope Foundation advance research and support families living with this condition.
Still Want to Contribute?
Even though the event has concluded, you can still make a difference. Donations remain open to support PPP3CA research and families in need.
