The Educator

Kenny holds a B.A. in Psychology and a Master's in Elementary & Special Education. He is currently a Special Education teacher, applying that same lens to every practice plan and player interaction at Legacy Hoopers.

More Than Just a Coach.

Kenny Lane is the Coaching Director of Legacy Hoopers and a highly respected figure in Westchester basketball. A graduate of Mount Saint Mary College, Kenny's collegiate career was defined by versatility, leadership, and dominance.

As a 3-time Team Captain, Kenny led by example on both ends of the floor. He graduated as one of the most decorated players in program history — holding 14 program records while joining the elite 1,000-point club.

🏆 Leadership & Legacy

  • The “Miracle at the Mount”: Led an unforgettable 13-point comeback with 3 minutes remaining in the Skyline Semifinals.
  • National Dominance: Ranked #1 in the Country for Rebounds Per Game his senior year.
  • Complete Player: Averaged nearly a double-double for his entire 4-year career.

Today, Kenny combines that Hall of Fame standard with his professional background in Special Education. He understands that teaching basketball — like teaching in the classroom — requires patience, clear communication, and the ability to build confidence in every individual.

At Legacy Hoopers, he isn’t just training basketball players. He is mentoring future leaders.
