Why It's Different Here.
Kenny's Master's in Special Education is the foundation of how Legacy Hoopers operates. He teaches the game the way a great educator teaches a classroom.
Differentiated Instruction
Drills and language are age-calibrated. An 8U athlete hears different cues than a 10U player running the same concept -- because comprehension drives retention.
Patience Over Pressure
Development is non-linear. Kenny builds environments where mistakes are coaching moments, not consequences -- so athletes take the risks that produce growth.
Teaching, Not Yelling
Every correction comes with a "why." Athletes don't just learn what to do -- they understand the reason behind it, which builds basketball IQ that lasts beyond any single season.
Complete Player Development
Offense, defense, transition, communication. Kenny's practice plans cover every phase of the game because specialization at the youth level creates gaps, not advantages.
Two-Coach Model
At the foundational 8U and 9U levels, attention to detail is everything. That is why we execute a strict two-coach model to ensure no developmental moment is missed.
